Acompetition was held between eight of the world's most powerful robot masters. The sponsor of the tournament, Mr. X, took all of the robots and attempted to take on the world. He said that he was controlling Dr. Wily over all those years and wanted to make his own move. Megaman was called to the rescue, he was now to use Rush to do powerful punches and fly with a jet pack. Megaman defeated Mr. X and at this moment, he removed his mask and proved to be none other that Dr. Wily. As usual, the mad doctor was beaten, brought to justice and put in jail.
